Pit Orchestra Party Postponed
All non-essential gatherings have been canceled throughout the district, and unfortunately, the Pit Orchestra party scheduled for this Friday, March 13, has been postponed as well. We know it's disappointing to put off our pit orchestra party, but please know that we will try to reschedule it as soon as circumstances allow.
Stairway of the Stars Has Been Canceled for All Three Groups
Out of an abundance of caution — especially in regard to large gatherings amid the threat of the coronavirus — our Stairway of the Stars concerts for band, choir, and orchestra have been canceled for 2020.
Winter Guard Show This Saturday, March 14, at Arcadia HS
The next Samohi Winter Guard show is at Arcadia HS on Saturday, March 14, at 3:08 pm. Students need to be at Samohi at 11:15 a.m. Arcadia HS is at 180 Campus Dr, Arcadia, CA 91006.
Samohi Wind Symphony 2020 California Performance Tour Canceled
This year’s Sonoma/San Francisco tour has been canceled. With the cancellation of two key parts — the Sonoma Wind Band Festival and the San Francisco Symphony — in recent days, and the SF/Sonoma area being deemed as an area of concern for the spread of the “corona” virus, it seemed like the best practice was to err on the side of caution over adventure.
Next Winter Guard Show in Rancho Cucamonga
Performers need to be at Samohi at 10 am this Saturday, March 7. Spectators and supporters, the performance is at 2:19 pm. The entry fee is $15. If you are coming out to support your student, please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes beforehand; shows run on time, and no one is allowed into the gym during performances.
First Winter Guard Show This Saturday
The first winter guard show will be at Monrovia High School this Saturday, February 29! Performers need to be at Samohi at 10 am, and their performance time in Monrovia is 1:37 pm.
