Thursday, Aug. 20 – First day of school – you do not need to bring your instrument.

- 6:30 pm – Band Parents Association (SMAPA) Meeting
- 7:30 pm – Montreal Tour Meeting for Parents of Wind Ensemble (Band V) and Juniors/Seniors of Wind Symphony (Band IV)
YEAR-ROUND FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY
Help raise easy money for the band!
Designate the band as your community partner of choice in your Ralphs app or online!
It’s super easy to set up via the app:
- Open and log into the Ralphs App
- Click the person icon in the upper left
- Click Payments & Resources
- Click Community Contributions
- Search for “Santa Monica Band Parents Association”
- Click Enroll and you are all set! Thank you!
MARCHING BAND
Calendar Updates!
The Band Calendars are subject to change. Please note some additional marching band rehearsals have been added throughout the season.
Thursday, August 20th – First Day of School
NO AM Class
No Evening Rehearsal
Friday, August 21st
AM Class will be held.
Marching Band Rehearsal from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Wear your rehearsal shirt, black bottoms, and athletic shoes.

JAZZ BAND
Join Samohi’s Award-Winning Jazz Band
Mr. Sakow and Mr. Rowles are ready to welcome returning and new musicians to our jazz bands.
Rehearsal Schedule: Classes will be held Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30–5:30 pm.
